Meryl’s last win was in the 80’s, so I don’t understand all the “her again” complaints about her win tonight. Meryl Streep is a fantastic actress and her work in The Iron Lady was magnificent in every single way. Also, most people who are complaining about her winning probably did not even watch The Iron Lady. The movie itself may have been disappointing, but Meryl Streep’s performances was one of her best performances she had in the past decade.

Congratulations Meryl.

Last night it was all about Big Bang. Tonight it’s all about Radiohead. Such polar opposites from each other, but both just as amazing.

I made a LastFM account after much persuasion from a friend of mine, and considering my itunes decided to reset all my playcounts… I thought, why not keep a history of what I listen to? And for the past few days K-Pop has completely taken over my scrobbles. The only other artists to compete with them at the moment is Lady Gaga and Madonna.

Furthermore, my bedtime playlist tonight will be Big Bang.

I think I’m going to become an artist… no, I WILL be an artist.

In fact I will be marrying the times between midnight to 5am because it seems all the good ideas I’ve come up with for my several midterm papers have come to my brain during those hours. Sorry daytime, I will be forced to divorce you since you fail me at these most crucial days for my university career.

It’s currently nearing half past midnight. I have a cup of coffee to keep me awake while I attempt to finish all the assignments I have to complete by morning. Along the way I will struggle through many obstacles, also known as procrastination.

Black coffee has been my best friend for the past few days. Already got my set of final research essays for three of my university classes despite it only being midway through the semester. Stress has beckoned and it’s coming upon me faster than a speeding bullet. Actually, it already has come; attempts of sleeping before midnight has been futile, while sleeping past 2am have become the scheduled norm.

Will try to relieve some of this unwanted stress tomorrow by playing a few games of tennis. Hopefully it will not disappoint.

I haven’t posted a proper “manifesto” in a while; I’ve been far too busy with my university courses and have been extremely preoccupied with my rekindled obsession for Korean entertainment and culture.

On the topic of university, most of my professors have decided to double the amount of weekly assignments since the beginning of the semester. I’m completely livid with that fact and have had to force myself into skipping out on casual social meetings with friends. My social life these days is practically nonexistent since I’m forced to be on the computer most days searching for medical articles to review and write essays about.

However, there is a bright side to it all. Since I’m on the computer a lot, I’ve taken it upon myself to use my very little free time during the day and night by once again watching Korean television shows and enlightening myself about the Korean culture. I once was obsessed with everything Korean related and I now find myself obsessing over the Korean culture once again; all thanks to my cousin Corazon and her boyfriend who began watching Korean shows this past summer. I never thought I’d get hooked on Korean entertainment again, but I somehow did.

Besides Korean entertainment, I’ve also been practicing my culinary skills by attempting to cook traditional Korean recipes such as ddeokbokki and bulgogi. I’ve practically perfected cooking ddeokbokki, however my bulgogi recipe seems to be sporadic in quality each time I cook it.

Since I’ve mentioned university, I hope everyone of my followers who have started school again are having a great term so far. And if you’re not, perhaps you should watch a Korean drama to help ease your stresses? I highly recommend Full House and Boys Over Flowers.

You don’t have to be gay to realize that the LGBT community is treated less of a human in comparison to straights by the government. You don’t have to be gay to realize that the LGBT community is treated by many as being a form of disease that is a threat to modern society. You don’t have to be gay to realize that the mere usage of the word faggot used in a derogatory manner can kill the confidence of a young boy and girl. You don’t have to be gay to realize that bullying someone based on how they were born is akin to ripping ones pride and self belief that they belong in this world. You don’t have to be gay to realize that a 14 year old young teenage boy being ridiculed so much for being gay to the point of suicidal depression is inhumane. You don’t have to be gay to realize that children are taught to hate. You don’t have to be gay, you just have to be human.
