I remember back in the early months of Tumblr in 2007-2008 when the most popular Tumblr bloggers, like “havent-got-a-prayer” (the url has since then been taken by a different blogger) and “devincastro”, posted about their lives not for the hope of getting some sort of small internet fame, but just to get their voices heard. Now the most “famous” of tumblr users for the most part are teenagers who will gladly put aside their shame and pride to show off their hot bods and cute faces just for the sake of getting some sort approval from society through notes and reblogs… because that’s totally hardcore and cool and totally hip and happening.

I don’t blame them though, I suppose you must do anything for attention when your personality can be compared to that of a fruit fly. Lulz rofl lmfao imo tbh etc etc etc.
